The MAHLE Group has been using the Flip employee app for internal communication in Germany since the fall of 2020. Since the beginning of 2021, the app has been rolled out to all global locations, such as China, India, Japan, Poland, and the USA. Initially, mainly current information on the company's internal fight against the Corona pandemic was distributed to the workforce. In view of a dynamically developing event and a large number of measures and rules of conduct for infection control, the fast and simple provision of information to all employees was a high priority. For a globally active company like MAHLE, with its 160 production sites and different target groups, this presented major challenges that were easily solved with the help of the employee app.
In the meantime, the employee app is also increasingly being used at MAHLE for general topics of internal communication. In the employee app, information, images, videos, and other files can be distributed to all global employees or even individual locations and countries with just two clicks. This means that content can be distributed to the relevant groups at the same time. By using the employee app, all employees are always kept up to date across locations, regions and countries.
No possibility to reach all employees at the same time
Production employees receive news at a delay
Urgent corona information and protective measures cannot be distributed quickly & easily
Same level of information across teams and locations
News and short-term changes can be easily distributed via the app
After a short time, more than a quarter of employees in Germany already use the app regularly
